Roberto is a high-top sneaker that reaches the ankle — a sort of sporty ankle boot designed to combine the character of a sneaker with the greater protection of a high-cut shoe.

The model revives one of the store’s historic, signature construction techniques. The upper is in natural buffalo leather, and the shoe is built and stitched on a well-construction (cassetta) sole. A side zip makes it easy to slip on and lets you put the shoe on more quickly, while keeping the laces as the model’s defining feature.

The piece-dyeing is done on the finished shoe. The leather undergoes a wash at 40 °C with water and fabric softeners, a treatment that progressively increases its softness. A finish with natural waxes completes the coloring and highlights the leather’s characteristics.

Over time and with use, the buffalo leather adapts to the shape of the foot, becoming increasingly soft and comfortable.

The foam rubber insole is raised by 1.5 cm. The laces are in natural cotton, and the lining is calfskin.
